i'll have what she's having {packing for turkey}

Truth be told, my bags aren't even close to being unpacked yet from Jamaica and yet here I am, ready to pack them to the brim for the next trip. That's right, my trip to Turkey has arrived in full force and is officially T-6 days away (summer, where did you go?!). I'll be hopping around with my friend and jetsetter partner in crime, Heather, and cannot wait to get lost in Istanbul, explore ruins in Ephesus and relax on the beaches of Bodrum.

My personal highlight I'm looking forward to though? Riding in a hot air balloon over Cappadocia

If you guys have any tips or recommendations, would love to hear them! Feel free to leave a comment below or shoot me an email. In the meantime, I'm trying to figure out how to get everything above in my suitcase before Monday...decisions, decisions...

i'll have what she's having {skin bootcamp}

Unfortunately for me, I've never been blessed with naturally clear, glowing, oh-I-just-woke-up-like-this skin. And if we're being totally honest around here (because, hey, why not?) my skin has taken a beating the past few years during my 20s. Between working long hours, skimping on sleep and neglecting my diet from time to time (I guess those Annie's cheddar bunny snacks have finally caught up with me), it's clear to me I am in desperate need of a skin routine reboot.

My skin has always been oily prone, but it wasn't until I moved from a really dry, hot climate (Nevada) to a more damp and cool environment (hello, SF!), that I saw a dramatic difference in how sensitive my skin really can be. These days, I've set a few mini obtainable goals for my skin routine with a short shopping list to try out (including a few of the products shown above). Let's kick things off here shall we?

1. Water: Seems like a no brainer, because really, it's on just about every tip list for skin care. I'm making more of an effort lately to swap out my coffee and Diet Coke for large bottles of water throughout the day.
2. Makeup-free days: More often than not, Sundays are my down day, reserved for park adventures with Elvis, late brunch and email catch up, i.e. no makeup required. I like giving my skin a break to breathe, even if most of my makeup is oil-free and non-pore-clogging.
3. Dairy: So my general doctor and my dermatologist disagreed on this point (dermatologist didn't think it would make a difference, doctor did) but I've wanted to try cutting dairy out for a while now to see if it would move the needle at all. There are lots of theories about the hormones in dairy and their correlation with acne and I'm by no means an expert in this area -- just merely trying it out to see if it works for me. I'll keep you posted.
4. Exercise: While there are lots of obvious reasons to work out more often, if we're purely talking about skin quality here, I have to say my skin has always been clearest when I've consistently been running 3 plus miles a day. Sweat it out, right?

i'll have what she's having {nordstrom anniversary sale}

It's game time, people. AKA, the annual Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is in full swing. AKA the time of year when I have lots and lots of browser tabs open (way more so than usual). While I normally go straight to the clothing section for their sale, this year I wanted to strategize around accessories and beauty products. My reasoning? They're usually the items I splurge on throughout the year because they almost never go on sale. Stocking up on lots of perfumes, NARS goodies, perhaps another watch investment and that nude Pashli is calling my name for another great work bag option. Shop my picks right here....

i'll have what she's having...

I was recently turned onto the designer Mother of Pearl by my friend Adelle (who's making the leap over to NYC this week!) -- and I just have to say, I'm hooked already! While the prints are totally on point (like this dress), it's the clean separates that draw me in (like this peplum top and trouser combo). All of which would look just too good with that Saint Laurent bag I've been eyeing for forever now, right? Right?

i'll have what he's having {father's day edition}

I think in another life, I was meant to be a men's boutique shop owner. There's something about the rich leathers, classic staples and understated sophistication to menswear and accessories that just speaks to me. Don't get me wrong, I love everything about being a girl, including our affinity for dressing up, but I do take great pride in shopping for the fellas in my life, especially my dad.

What are you guys getting for your dads this Father's Day?

i'll have what she's having {the london edit}

First collage made by me // Images via 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7

Exactly one week from today I'll be jumping over the pond to London for my first visit ever. Needless to say, I'm beyond excited (OK, stupid excited!) and have been prepping like mad the past few days. Thank goodness for that long weekend coming up but seriously, guys I  have LOTS to do still. (Like figure out what the heck I'm going to put in that suitcase of mine!)

As I mentioned the other day, the folks over at Regent Street have invited me over for their annual Regent Tweet event -- a weekend chock full of social media workshops, discussion panels and, well, shopping (yes, please to all of the above!). While my itinerary is pretty packed the first few days, I'm also really looking forward to exploring London on foot solo (another first for me!) for the remainder of the trip.

Now I've done my fair share of the European backpacking experience in college, but I've always had a few companions along for the ride. Oddly enough, I think there's going to be something about traveling alone that I'm really going to love. The self-reflection? The "me" time? Or being completely in charge of my own schedule? I'm not sure -- but I can't wait to find out!

Of course, before I hop over, I'd love to hear from you guys! Any tips you'd recommend for me while over in London? Sights to see? Restaurants or pubs I can't miss? Also, would love any and all recs for London-based photographers as I'll be trying my best to fit in an outfit post (or two!). Feel free to send me an email (krystalannebick@gmail.com) or leave a comment below.

i'll have what she's having...

We recently had a sunglass crisis around here just a few weeks back now. My darling puppy somehow stumbled across my go-to Celine sunnies and just a few too many drinks at dinner lead me to come home to them chewed and torn apart. Luckily, he was fine, but my ego and pride definitely took a beating. You may have noticed that I haven't been wearing them lately and I'm mainly taking my time trying to figure out the right replacement pair (or two actually).

While I'm definitely someone who loves her sunglasses, I tend to play favorites all too often, usually abusing one pair until they literally fall apart, get lost or a hungry corgi finds them. Just after a few weeks of having to rediscover my other pairs of sunglasses, I realized how many good ones I had waiting in the wings (like this vintage YSL pair!). Granted, I'm definitely in the market for a new pair of black sunglasses to replace my Celines (RIP) but will be making a more conscious effort to get my other pairs into the daily rotation.

What are some of your favorite go-to pairs?

i'll have what she's having {6 spring shoe trends}

As I mentioned here in my last post, flats and lower heels are making a comeback in my daily uniform, where I find myself grabbing them more often than not over my heels. The ironic thing about that? I usually find myself a bit stumped actually on how to style them. I know, I know. But when your automatic knee-jerk reaction to most outfits is to "throw on heels" (which don't get me wrong, is still my mantra), flats can feel like a stranger to the rest of your wardrobe rotation.

So naturally, when DSW asked me to put together a few style boards around some of the latest shoe trends (a lot of which are flats and low heels), I jumped at the chance, mainly to familiarize myself with how I could pull off each look with similar items I likely already have in my closet. Here are 6 spring shoe trend looks I've put together (some flats, some lower heels) -- essentially a cheat sheet for you and me so to speak. And the cherry on top? I think this may have just nudged me to get a pair of Birkenstocks. Or two. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little excited to style those bad boys now.

Spring Shoe Trend: Birkenstocks

Spring Shoe Trend: Fashion Sneaker

Spring Shoe Trends: Embellished Sandal

Spring Shoe Trend: Wedges

Spring Shoe Trend: City Heel

Spring Trends: White Heels

How would you style any of these shoe trends? Let me know in the comments and make sure to check out DSW's Reward page to get in on some the latest deals and sales.

This post is sponsored by DSW. As always, all opinions and styling are my own. Thank you for supporting posts that keep This Time Tomorrow's doors open.

i'll have what she's having {mother's day gift guide}

My mom usually heads out to San Francisco each August for a week-long visit and I jump at the chance to play tourist with her around town. Generally during her visits, I get ideas for her next Mother's Day gift (because it's usually something she ends up borrowing, ahem, stealing, from me during her stay). Last year it was my sunglasses, the year before that, some wedge mules and a tote bag. This year, well, I'm not going to ruin the surprise just yet, Mom, you'll have to wait and see!

What are you getting for your mom this Mother's Day?

i'll have what she's having...

I don't know about you, but we have quite a few weddings and baby shower invites pouring in already, which can mean only one thing: shopping around for just the right dress for the occasion. Personally, when it comes to purchases like this, I want to make sure I can wear it well after the fact, be it for work, cocktails or date night. Here are a few contenders I have on my radar, especially that off the shoulder Carven dress, which might just be the equivalent of this cut-out Carven dress from last summer (remember when I romped around Central Park in it here?).

i'll have what she's having...

I'm all for my heels but lately, I've been craving flats more and more.  The pointier and strappier, the better. Oh, and that striped Nicholas Kirkwood pair doesn't hurt either.

i'll have what she's having...

If we were all about those ankle strap sandals last year (especially the tan and black ones from Zara), then I predict this to be the season of the mule. Typically, this wouldn't be a silhouette I would try out for myself -- as I think it would cut me off awkwardly -- but I'm tempted to try out the Topshop pair above for a test drive so to speak.

Thoughts? Will you be sporting mules this season?

i'll have what she's having...

Lately, I find myself reaching for jewelry pieces that I can wear day after day. The more simple and easier to layer with each other, the better. And after meeting Jennifer Zeuner for a hot second at NYFW, I have to say my obsession has taken itself to a whole new level. Not only was she incredibly humble and sweet, but her accessory game was unreal (I would expect no less after all).

Here are a few of my favorites lately...all of which you can snag as part of Shopbop's site-wide sale. Just enter "BigEvent14" at checkout.
