eggplant and mint green

Some naysayers might call this a "hospital room" color palette (ahem, boyfriend) but to that I say, balderdash!

I picked up these trousers at H&M over the weekend and love the faded eggplant color of them, not to mention the tapered leg that has been popping up everywhere. I can't wait to wear these puppies with my over-the-knee boots or ankle boots.

And of course, you all know I love this vintage Christian Dior shirt of mine.

Almost Friday. And almost time for me to get my act into gear and pick a Halloween costume. Any suggestions? What are you guys going to be?

Shirt: Vintage mint green blouse, Christian Dior
Pants: Pleated tapered leg trousers, H&M
Belt: Vintage leather belt
Shoes: Tan platform pumps, Michael Kors

  1. Love this! The pants are a lovely shade and the shirt is lovely as well ( a little bit on the hospital gown side!)

I love Halloween, but I do not celebrate. So, no suggestions! Sorry!

  2. The H&M pants are incredible! I've been wanting a pair like that for awhile, but with my unemployment shopping ban I think I may have to wait until spring. This outfit is stunning, Krystal!

  8. I am going to be a "kissing booth". Im dressing up in pink and red and wearing a cardboard box that hangs off my shoulders and has "Kisses $1" written on it. I might just make some extra cash too!

  10. PS I love your pants. But I love everything you wear! You have really inspired me to revamp my company blog and make it less "this is the jewelry I make" and more "this is how you can incorporate the jewelry I make into your wardrobe". So I must thank you... for all of your style inspiration! You are wonderful!

  11. I love the color palate, though I can definitely see how it could be called "hospital room"!

I don't know what I'll be for halloween. There is a hockey game that night, so my costume must be worn to spectate... I think I'll be a cat. Ears, tail, black. Yup.

  13. Love this outfit, as always.

I think Essie's mint candy apple nailpolish would look brilliant with the blouse!

  15. Forget hospital, you look amazing. I've got a few ideas floating around my head for a costume, like Waldo from Where's Waldo?, a ballerina, a sailor, and some more... feel free to take any!
PS: The American Apparel website has some good ideas for costumes. Check it out.

  19. I love the casual elegance of this look. Its on trend while still very classic. I haven't yet decided what to be for Halloween either, I've been looking through old movies for inspiration.
