So yet again, I'm turning to you dear readers. Krystal needs an apartment in San Francisco. Like by the end of this month. Nine days. NINE DAYS. Eeek. Any neighborhood suggestions/tips/advice/possible roommate leads would be much, much appreciated. Thus far, my co-worker has suggested Mission Dolores as a good fit for my personal style. I would love to live by Golden Gate Park, but am open to most (somewhat nice) areas. I do have to commute everyday to work though, so somewhat painless access to the 101 would be awesome too, but not a complete deal breaker.
Thanks guys! You're the best!
Cardigan: Waterfall drape cardigan, Urban Outfitters

Those shorts are marvelous!
ReplyDeleteI love your shorts! Did you get them recently? Can I get them at Zara... tomorrow?
ReplyDeleteDon't have any leads on an apt in the bay, but have you tried craigslist?

holy mama I love those shorts!! The high waist looks awesome on you.
ReplyDeleteAwesome shorts and what a pretty belt =)
ReplyDeleteCRAIGSLIST. but if something comes up, i'll let you know. also, the mission might be your best bet because the rent is reasonable, it's more centrally located, and easy access to the fwy.
ReplyDeleteoh, and i like your shorts. must go to zara now.
ReplyDeleteI looove your paperbag shorts!
ReplyDeleteLove the shorts. I wonder if I can pull off shorts like that?
ReplyDeleteThis outfit is amazing. I love those shorts. Wish I could help with the apt. but sadly I do not live in California. Good luck.

Mission would be better for you if you need to get access to the Freeway. But, not Mission Dolores, as that area is too difficult for parking and is VERY expensive. Outer Mission would be great for cheap rent and freeway access via Cesar Chavez/Army St.
ReplyDeleteGolden Gate Park areas, you would have to add 30 minutes to your commute to get to 101. Keep that in mind. It takes a long time to cross town during rush hour. I've lived in SF for years.
Very cool outfit! Great inspiration once the weather here stays warm. Good luck on the search. Sorry I can't be of any help

Love those shorts. Amazing.
ReplyDeleteCheck the glen park area and Monterey Blvd. The apt prices are not horrendous and I have been living there quite comfortably for some time. There is incredibly quick routes that put you right on the freeway and the neighborhood is cute and safe.
ReplyDeletegood luck!
I also love Hayes Valley as well.
Sorry can't help with the apt. situation, but you look great! Love the shorts!

I love eveyrthing about this! Those shorts are great :)
ReplyDeleteMy fave hoods (as an SF native, I consider myself quite the expert, haha) are Cole Valley, upper Haight, the Panhandle, Alamo Square and the Castro.
ReplyDeleteThe Mission is amazing and is where I spend most of my time socially, but unless you can afford to live by Dolores Park or nearer to Noe Valley, it's not terribly safe for a woman living alone. Just my two cents!!
good luck!

Anywhere near Alamo Square is nice. I just moved from Hayes and Divisadero and Divis is totally blooming with new boutiques, venues and restaurants. And the park is lovely, too!

I love your necklace with the feather...where is it from??
ReplyDeleteI love your look!!
ReplyDeleteAlthough I love the mission, I know its not the safest place to live, esp by yourself. I recommend outer mission, its safer and easier to access the freeway! Good luck and I love your shorts!!

heyo....
ReplyDeletejust found your blog and at this post... meant to be?
We are SF fashion industry/bloggers and have heaps of tips and such :)
Mission/Dolores is incredible (your friend is a keeper), and we live near Golden Gate Park (2 blocks)... we work and school in SOMA area (don't recommend living there though) and love a good lunch in Hayes Valley (def a neighborhood worth checking out... as well as the Castro and Noe Valley)...
Stay clear of the Marina (if the Mission is your style... this is opposite, please believe) and Nob Hill (uppercrust bankers and retired folks)...
let us know if we can answer any more questions my dear.
Love your style!!!
Peace and Love from San Francisco,
xx

The shorts are such a good shape and cut.. I must find a pair like these!!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your move! PS there is nothing wrong with the Mission in terms of safety. For access to 101: Portero Hill, Bernal Heights, Glen Park, Outter Mission, Duboce Triangle, Castro and Hayes Valley all have amazing options to eat/drink and easy access to freeway, public transportation and ease to get to Mission.
ReplyDeleteadore the shorts and belt. tres sympa.
ReplyDeletegreat outfit - i love zara.
ReplyDeleteSuper cute! One of my favorite outfits!!
