this is new york

Dress (worn as a shirt): Frame; Jeans: J.Brand; Shoes: Saint Laurent; Clutch: Parker Thatch; Necklaces: Jennifer Zeuner; Sunglasses: Ray-Ban

I recently picked up this shirt dress a few weeks back (you may recall it from this post right after the Fourth of July), but have been secretly itching to wear it as a long, statement shirt and/or duster coat like you see above here. Sure, it solicits the occasional raised eyebrow from folks on the street, but then I remember, this is New York. And we're all a little odd here! In the best, most beautiful way possible.

On a side note: I'm still in DC at the moment and have been loving your recommendations. Please, keep them coming!

  4. Um yes, yes, yes! This styling is absolute perfection. I love pairing a long shirt dress with jeans or shorts - looks so good and is a little bit different too.

  14. Firstly, I love the idea of wardrobe recycling and secondly, this look is so cool! I'm contemplating of re-creating it but I just need to find the right piece from my current wardrobe. I don't think I have anything as flow-y unfortunately... haha
