that new york cool

One of the things I love most about working on this little corner of the internet of mine, is the people that it brings into my life, from fellow content creators, stylists, up and coming designers and photographers. Just a few months back, Angie Silvy of Sterling Silvy (a digital content agency) reached out to me about a possible collaboration project with Levis. Being the huge Levis fan that I am (which you can read more about here), I jumped at the opportunity and let her know that I was eager to start.

Fast forward a few weeks, and Angie showed up at my door here in the West Village, camera gear in tow, ready to shoot around my neighborhood (yep, she's the agency founder AND principal photographer -- talk about a woman after my own heart). She's a pint size, surf beach blonde Aussie, and feisty as hell. Needless to say, we hit it off instantly. We started roaming my new neighborhood on one of those perfect May days looking for shoot locations and before long, I felt like I was just hanging out with a dear friend I hadn't seen in a long time. You can't deny when you have great working chemistry with someone -- bonus points when you're down to grab a few glasses of rose with them after work (which we promptly did).

Her vision for the shoot? Since I was the lone NYC based blogger for the campaign, she wanted both of my looks to exude that New York cool girl vibe, with extra emphasis on those italics. I swiftly told her that I hardly exuded that (at least not yet anyway) but that I would try my best. All I have to say is, sometimes it's amazing what a little ice blue Vespa and red lips can do for your cool girl factor

This post was in collaboration with Levis. As always, all opinions and styling are my own. Thank you for supporting all This Time Tomorrow collaborations!

  2. Yeah, this is definitely my type of outfit - a whole bunch of great wardrobe basics styled expertly. I adore those amazing heels (no surprises there since they're Saint Laurent!).

It sounds like you had a blast shooting this too. Isn't it lovely how dedicated and hands-on people are with their businesses, especially in this industry?! Inspiring stuff.
