back against the wall

Sweater: J. Crew (similar style here); Skirt: Forever21; Bag: Zara; Shoes: Zara; Sunglasses: Karen Walker; Jewelry: Emerson Made medallion necklace, H&M bar necklace, Michael Kors watch, assorted gifted bangles

I recently posted about how I'm trying to sport more of my cardigans backwards these days (unfortunately, I can't take credit for this genius idea but this gal can!). Surprisingly, it wasn't until a few days ago that I seemed to have stumbled upon a silhouette I really love -- the one you see above. When paired with a sleek, more form fitting maxi skirt, it's deceivingly demure from the front, and a proverbial party in the back -- a mullet of an outfit, if you will, and I'm kind of obsessed with it!

Next steps? Must find a weighty necklace to sport backwards like this little number. Any recs?

  7. This is really great! Do you pull the tags off your cardi's that you are going to wear backwards? I'm guessing they might itch and show otherwise…curious to know what you do before I go ripping one out to try this look :)

    Thanks!

  58. I tried the cardigan backwards look a few weeks ago and finally ended up turning mine around the right way after a couple of hours as the neckline in the back was far too high when in the front and it wouldn't lay right. Will definitely have to give this look another go with a different cardi!
