little red

At the risk of channeling too much Little Red Riding Hood here, I just want to state for the record that I think the Vogue September issue should be at fault. Entirely. See pages 464-477. All I'm missing is the ravage wolf man (such an awesome touch, don't you think?) and of course, model Natalia Vodianova's looks.

But hey, I got a picnic basket-esque purse and red (yowza!) lipstick. Doesn't that count for something?! Doesn't it?

On a side note, I originally intended to post this outfit last night, as part of my French-inspired evening, which included, brace yourselves, crepes that I actually made.

The crepes, well they didn't turn out quite as I had hoped.

But the boyfriend happily humored me, said they were delicious and told me I looked like a baroness.

Move over, Julie Powell. Little Red Riding Baroness is in the kitchen.

  1. You look fabulous - I just loved that Vogue spread!

The trick with crepes, I have found - is to use a small omelet pan and make sure you only coat the pan lightly with the batter. Keeping it thin thin thin is the key...

    Keep at it!

  16. That is the cape of my DREAMS! Seriously, between this and that Vogue editorial (which by the way was AMAZING), I think that perhaps, one day, I'll get my hands on a dream cape of my own. You look stunning.
