Yep. Day #2 for a lady-like skirt and I'm telling ya, I think I'm addicted, folks. Because of modest length, you ask? Nah. Because of chillier, fall weather? Nope. Because of the ease of sitting in a chair or riding a bike? Negative, not that either.

I love it because I don't have to pull/shimmy/hold this thing down 100 different ways on my walk up to the bus stop. We've all been there, it's no fun. And walking UP a STEEP hill (ahem, Hayes, I'm talking to you!), only makes it worse.

That said, I love this color combo, cognac and heather gray! Yum! Happy Friday, everyone!

Sweater: Gray slouchy sweater, Wasteland
Skirt: Cognac suede mid-legnth skirt, vintage
Shoes: Black studded platform heels, Steve Madden

  5. Absolutely LOVE this skirt! I've never felt too comfortable in the shorter skirts and dresses so I am really excited about the return of length. Glad I held in there and didn't hem my vintage skirts!

  7. I can't count the number of times I have to do some sort of hold-the-skirt-down-shimmy wall trying to carry my purse & laptop case to & from work every day. I never thought about these long lady-like skirts - I guess maybe that's what makes them lady-like. Also LOVING this color combo as of late! Lovely!

  11. Nice! Gotta love a good-fitting pencil skirt--I've definitely been there (tugging down my skirt) walking to work. You look great. I really adore that top!

  14. Ha! I know what you mean (as a fellow San Franciscan). I wear something around the house 20 minutes or so before I go out to see how often I adjust but then there's just those days where you can't account for hills. I hate that. But enough negative stuff- you look lovely!
