long lost flares

I've been searching for the perfect pair of high waisted, wide flare jeans -- and recently found this little number of the weekend at Urban Outfitters. Wearing them around today made me recall a time when ALL I would wear was flared jeans, circa middle school.

Funny isn't it? How wearing a certain type of clothing item can make you nostalgic about a former self.

Sweater: Cable knit sweater, Gap via Crossroads
Jeans: High waisted, wide flare jeans, Urban Outfitters
Shoes: Jeffrey Campbell clogs
Hat: Wide brim Halston hat, vintage

  3. Fun! I love those. I'm dying to wear mine - picked up a GORGEOUS pair of Stella McCartney bellbottoms last fall - and waiting until spring to wear them!

  12. That sweater is so lovely and comfy looking and I love the wash of those jeans. I wore flares so much in middle school, but am glad I get another stab at them considering that was generally an awkward time. =]

  15. Those flared jeans look great on you. I remember when no one wore anything but flared jeans and then the skinny jean trend caught on and it was entirely the opposite.
