I choose to be proactive

Blazer: Zara (similar style here); Shirt: Zara (similar style here); Jeans: c/o HUDSON; Shoes: Jessica Simpson; Sunglasses: Karen Walker; Bag: London Fog (similar style here); Jewelry: Michael Kors watch

With the month of October already upon us, I was incredibly happy to team up with HUDSON jeans for their October Breast Cancer Awareness campaign -- aiming to not only spread awareness but raise money to help find a cure.

And you can help, too. For ever pair of HUDSON jeans sold during the month of October, $5 will be donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Of course, if you're interested to find other ways you can help, simply visit the BCRF site.

As for the sign I'm holding above here? HUDSON asked myself and several other fellow bloggers to write out a declaration for something we "choose." I felt choosing to be proactive was not only fitting, but can make a world of a difference in detecting and treating the early signs of breast cancer. Make sure to give yourself regular exams and contact your doctor immediately if you notice any irregularities.

  16. What a great cause! I love the flare on the jeans (I'm looking for another pair myself, but the idea of getting it altered is just too much effort!). Nothing beats a white top and blazer with flared jeans!

  18. You look darling, as usz. But...$198 for jeans and $5 for research? Does anyone else see the irony in this? Who ever convinced us that it's in anyway necessary to spend hundreds of dollars on denim? And as consumers, we're supposed to feel good about ourselves because .025% of the price goes to a worthy cause? Please. I'd rather donate $100 to BRCA research and buy two pairs of jeans at The Gap that are essentially the same.

Whatever, Hudson. Even if I were the kind of person to splurge on a pair of jeans in this manner, I would never purchase a pair of Hudson pants simply because of this campaign.

  34. Ok I love you because you actually took us to the page for the jeans. I spent so much time at another site trying to figure out which pair the blogger was wearing (loved the fit on her) from a handful that were strikingly similiar. I gave up! LOL!
Love the JS shoes too. I think. :-|
