veiled

Jacket: Zara; Dress: 10 Crosby Derek Lam; Shoes: Celine; Veiled beanie: DIY

I bought this birdcage veil months ago and only recently got around to following this tutorial from Honestly WTF. Well, by follow, I mean I had every intention of sewing the veil onto the beanie but since I was technically borrowing it from the man friend, I figured it would be best to tie instead. I'm sure he's relieved to hear that, right Dan? :)

  19. How fun! I would have never thought to put a veil and a beanie together, but it looks great! I love the mixture of styles (leather + vintage + trendy) in your outfit. Fantastic!

  20. What ever happened to the days when ladies wore hats and gloves? Totally ingenious to wear a veil with a beanie, a very modern take on the classics! Is that a dress or is it a skirt and blouse? I wish I could see!

  26. What is your opinion on comments like these?

“Two things have worked to turn fashion shows into a zoo,” she writes. “The cattle market of showoff people waiting to be chosen or rejected by the photographers, and the way that smart brands, in an attempt to claw back control lost to multimedia, have come in on the act.”
