maxi-mum comfort

I finally broke down. I. bought. a. maxi. dress. Now, don't get me wrong. I have been loving the maxi trend lately. On everyone else. And by everyone else I mean those taller than myself, who won't look overwhelmed with so much fabric draped over them.

But I digress.

Because obviously, I decided to give it a try. And obviously, am somewhat pleased if I have rambled for almost two paragraphs about it.

And you know what? It was perfect for somewhat of a lounge-like day in the office with the added bonus of being able to sit cross legged while typing without looking like a hussy.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm off to make some zucchini corn bread. Yep, corn bread. Ain't nothing wrong with that.

Dress: Olive green maxi dress, Target
Shoes: Black wedges, Kenzie
Sunglasses: Vintage Wayfarers, Ray-Bans
Watch: Men's watch, $12 special from Wal-Mart

  4. I love your belt! Did it come with the dress? After looking at your dress, I need to take out my maxi dress that I got last year and wear it again. Maybe I will look half as good as you do.

  5. I love the comfort of maxi dresses however, I'm always at a loss as to the perfect shoes to wear with it. Right now, the only thing that's worked so far are flip flops and I don't doooo flip flops.

  7. that neckline looks awesome on you. i'm a fan of this look. it's funny that you worry about being too short for a maxi dress because i worry about being too tall.

  9. I just found your blog, and I love it! I have been holding out on the maxi trend because I'm just so petite, but now that I see how good it looks on you, I just may try one on! I love the belt. I definitely helps control some of the fabric, and keeps the dress from being overwhelming! You look great!

Being only 4ft9 and resembling an obese 12 year old boy I doubt I could pull of a maxi dress, although I love the look

  16. love that dress! it is totally not overwhelming on you, it looks perfect. i've been trying to find some myself but they are always too short ;( i can tell you from experience the maxi trend is NOT CUTE when the skirt ends a little above your ankles, unless you are going to an audition to Big Love or something. oh, and please bring said cornbread to NYC. ~joelle

  17. You're too hard on yourself. You could wear anything and look great. (Seriously, I want to see you in a paper bag. I dare you! My money is on you rocking it and looking great...) But truthfully, you did the maxi great justice! You did it better than most people. Even those taller than you. Snaps for Krystal :]
