sanctuary {apartment inspiration}

For those of you who have followed This Time Tomorrow for a little while now, and perhaps saw my last few apartments captured in a variety of home tours, you know that I love a good clean, white room, with black and gold accents. And at this point, if you unpacked my boxes with me this weekend (speaking of, anyone wanna help?), you'd find I've accumulated more than my fair share of trinkets, statuettes, frames and general oddities in some gold or crisp black finish. Guilty as charged.

While I still have an affinity for that somewhat eclectic glam approach, I've been craving to mix things up lately and start fresh. Before leaving San Francisco, I purged a lot of furniture and home decor items that I found I just wasn't in love with anymore. Items that just didn't make me smile as much as they used to or pieces of furniture that felt like it was more of an obligation to bring and not a-can't-live-without sensation.

So what's on the clean slate, you ask? Lately, I've been drawn to more moody spaces: accent walls in deep blues and greys, rustic, unfinished wood furniture, rich leather chairs that you can sink into and even considering venturing into wallpaper territory (the oversized, art-like kind, of course).

Here are a few pins I've been going back to lately for inspiration. I'm excited to dig into the local flea market scene here in New York and slowly craft and build out my little nook here in the West Village.

Just some recent style inspiration pins in preparation for New York Fashion Week (I leave on Saturday -- yikes! So much to pack, so little time!).

While I frantically pack, stay tuned -- outfit post coming later this morning!

new york fashion week: packing inspiration

1//2//3//4

Ah, yes, it's that time of year again! New York Fashion Week! And with any luck, I'll be bringing some of our California weather to New York (because I'm totally not prepared for sub 40 degree weather!). While my trip is indeed a short one -- arriving today and flying back out on Monday -- my suitcase is surprisingly, or perhaps not that surprisingly, heavy with one too many pairs of shoes.

Of course, things are already shaping up to be a whirlwind as I seemed to have failed at documenting some of the first things that got thrown into the suitcase selects pile. In it's place? I figured I would share some of my Pinterest pins that have helped me visualize what outfits I wanted to wear while in New York. My top contenders include:

1.) All floral suit a la Céline: I rocked this Asos floral suit a few weeks back. Me thinks it's time for round two, this time with a sturdy boyfriend jacket thrown over my shoulders.
2.) Batter up: After sitting this trend out at first, I've fully embraced the quirkiness that is wearing a sporty baseball cap with flirty dresses. Many thanks to my Twitter friends who helped me track one down right before my flight!
3.) Pretty, pretty pastels: You all know I'm a sucker for a good matchy-matchy suit. Well, I think I may have found the most perfect pastel pink one.
4.) Mellow yellow: As I've professed before, I'm having a major yellow moment, which should prove handy as I think it might be the perfect sunny remedy for an otherwise gloomy forecast.

Will I be seeing any of you guys out there? If so, what did you pack?!
